You study your website stats and see the amount of traffic coming through. Nice numbers. But when you compare your traffic against your sales, what do you get? A small fraction of 1%? Wouldn’t you love to see those conversions grow? But how can you get them to buy?

The secret isn’t some magic trick or tool. But your Internet marketing is just shooting into the dark if you don’t know the needs that lead people to buy and how to focus your copywriting to tap those needs.

Two main needs drive all people no matter what the demographic: 1) a desire to expand their world and become more than what they are, and 2) a desire for safety. These needs conflict: the desire to grow leads us to head out into the unknown; self-protection leads us to circle the wagons and dig in against unknown dangers.

Each person strikes their own balance between these two contradictory needs. Understanding the way that different personality types balance these needs is the key to effective copywriting for them. Read more of this article »

Outsourcing – The Big Secret to Financial Success

Posted by Mike on March 3, 2010 under Outsourcing | Be the First to Comment

Do you realize that the top gurus or business savvy people use Outsourcing to create the majority of their success? Do you really think they do all the work? No!

So what is Outsourcing?

Outsourcing is basically getting someone else to do a job or task for you to save you time and money. Most of the time, if not all the time, these people will be able to do a much better job then you could.

Here’s an example:

If you needed a graphic for a product created, and you aren’t a graphic designer or know very little, by outsourcing this task you would receive a much better quality graphic (more professional) and it would cost you less because you would first have to learn how to do it. (Just figure out how many hours it would take you to learn how and then how long it would take to do it, multiple that by how much you figure your time is worth, then compare that to what you are going to pay to outsource it. Website Design And SEO Techniques Are All Part Of The Search Engine Pie

Posted by Mike on February 16, 2010 under Seo | 5 Comments to Read

There is a critical element of thought that many Internet Marketers are missing about SEO techniques and getting websites ranked high in the search engines. And it all goes back to the elementary principle of the “whole” being the sum total of all of its parts. This simple, yet often forgotten principle is alive and well in Internet Marketing and search engine dominance.

These techniques are so subtle, so easy to implement and so minute in the bigger picture, that many people feel they are not worth doing simply because they seem so insignificant. Seemingly, if it is that easy, it cannot also be that powerful. And yet, each of these really simple techniques, when added together creates a commanding website structure that will result in search engine dominance.

These traffic generating SEO techniques are enumerated over and over again in articles, eBooks, teleseminars, and email marketing newsletters and ezines everyday. So much so, that many people have the tendency to overlook their effectiveness – even though they are some of the most critical and successful methods of structuring a website that will rank high in the search engines. Using Testimonials to Create High-Impact Sales Letters

Posted by Mike on under Copywriting | Be the First to Comment

Sales letters can be an effective marketing tool when you use the right ingredients to develop a targeted sales piece that is directed at very specific audiences. When you write a sales letter, you need to introduce your product or service, outline its features and benefits, differentiate the product or service from those of your competitors, and convince the reader to make a purchase.

The catch is, you must do all of this within a fairly short sales piece that needs to be very persuasive. One of the best tools you can use to help convince readers that they need your product or service is a testimonial from a satisfied customer.

When a customer gets satisfaction from using your product or service, ask the customer if he or she would be willing to write a short testimonial that outlines the experience that was delivered by the product or service. Perhaps your product saved the customer 50% off of their normal materials expense because the product utilized materials more effectively. Read more of this article »
